Having had a long but otherwise uneventful flight from Norway we found ourselves in the Bangkok airport with time to spare. 12 full hours of time to be exact. Knowing that we would be landing at midnight Norwegian time I figured we would need to get some rest and so I booked a transit hotel situated in the International Terminal. After some initial trouble finding the place we did eventually have to cross the whole airport to get there....

The days is finally here. It’s time to pack our bags and head Down Under. Some tears were shed as we made our goodbyes, but we are leaving with blessings and love. Everyone has said we are crazy and/or brave for doing this. Some have expressed jealousy (but in a good way). It is clear that most people think of doing something like this - packing up and exchanging your life for another....

Well, technically, it started two weeks ago when Anna left for Melbourne. She has been settling in and trying to find a place for us to live, all while she has orientation at school. But she still found time to explore and enjoy the beach, although this weekend it resulted in a massive sunburn on her legs! And while Anna is having fun by herself the kids and I are just waiting to get on an airplane this weekend....
