Sydney Day 4

Another day of tourism ahead of us. This time we were heading to the zoo. Sydney has two zoo’s, but we were specifically heading to the Taronga Zoo, which is across the bay from Circular Quay. That means you can take a boat to get there. Of course, with the whale cruise fresh in mind, Isabelle was apprehensive about another boat ride. Thankfully you only cross the bay which is quite sheltered and the trip is only about 10 minutes long....

Sydney Day 3

With no pressure to be somewhere (at least not a place that would leave without you) we got to sleep in and have a nice, long breakfast. Sydney Day 2

First full day in Sydney and we were starting with a bang. Or at least a morning whale watching cruise. Melbourne is technically almost as big, but Sydney has the edge on the more iconic Australian things, like the opera house and warmer climate. The night before we left however, we also had a visit from the tooth fairy. Isabelle has a few loose teeth that are taking their time coming out, but one finally decided to give in as she was getting to bed....

Family time at the NGV

Since Kassandra now has been to three art exhibits without her sister, Isabelle has been begging to go to an art gallery. Of course, she doesn’t quite understand that we take Kassandra by herself since Isabelle does not have the patience for something like that. But the NGV (National Gallery Victoria) has a child gallery so we figured that would be the thing to do. Water wall at the entrance One of the coolest features at the NGV is even before you enter....
